Dealing with Grief

How to Get Help Dealing with Grief

Move past negative thought patterns and find a healthy way to grieve with a gentle, permissive Hypnotherapy or Counselling session

Are you struggling to cope with the loss of someone important to you?

Do you wish you could find a healthy way to grieve?

Grief is a natural process we all experience when we lose someone important to us. But this doesn't make it any easier to deal with.

When you lose someone, it can be very hard for a while.

You may find that everything reminds you of them and, more painfully, that they are no longer around.

It can sometimes feel as though you'll never be able to deal with your grief and move on with your life.

Our brains deal with grief naturally

When grieving, people often find that strangers in the street look like the person they are grieving for.

This is a natural process, as your brain is gently weaning this person from your daily life. The person you are grieving for can always be there for you on one level, but you do need to continue to live, and find enjoyment in, your own life.

So when the process of grief continues for months without reducing in intensity, it may be time for a little help.

Begin to move on by organising your grief

A helpful way of dealing with grief is to organise the process so you can have more choice about when and how you grieve.

This stops sad thoughts and recollections from constantly interrupting your day to day life. It allows the grieving you do to be more concentrated and 'pure', but less pervasive and disturbing.

Because to truly remember someone is a great act of appreciation and respect, and to continue truly living your life can be an act of respectful remembrance.

Finding Your Confidence

Boost Your Self Confidence

Confidence tips that work

It’s a myth that winners don’t require any motivational or confidence tips. They require good self-assurance tips frequently to keep up their motivational level. From the time you get your confidence tips make sure you apply them in order to transform the existing quality of life.

Confidence is necessary to achieve success in life. Some effective confidence tips must be followed if you genuinely want to gain accomplishment in your work. So how do you build your confidence that will work for you in any situation? Initially, make an effort to spend time with confident people.

Their vigor and strength is so stirring that you will surely feel yourself more powerful just by listening to their talk. To build confidence it is vital that you are in the midst of self-assuring people. This will help you derive great confidence from them. All you have to do is ask them for good confidence tips. Secondly, make sure that you find a mentor.

All successful people have mentors in life, those who can efficiently guide you, advise you and also offer some confidence tips. The person can help you considerably and you can taste success more quickly than you ever imagined. Two minds are always better than one. Try to understand that confidence is just a feeling.

Think about all the situations where you have felt confident. Such positive thoughts can make you confident in future. Sit down for a few minutes everyday and analyse the happenings during your day. Imagine all the things that make you feel certain. This can boost your morale and make you even more poise.

List all your reasons to be confident.

Try and list all the qualities that have helped you to be confident today. Include your victories, skills and also mention about your goals. After you have done this you will see how powerful your analysis can be. It will make you feel even more confident. The most important confidence tip can be preparation. Continuous preparation makes you perfect and you attain confidence.

Have you ever watched a sportsman playing effortlessly or stars performing live on stage? How do they give such a flawless performance? Preparation makes you more and more perfect. It is necessary that you keep honing your skills to achieve perfection and this automatically will augment your level of confidence.

Self-comparison is another key to enhance your confidence. Learn to compare your progress in life with respect to your previous results. Look at other successful people and learn not to measure just your success. When you put in more efforts on the daily improvement of your individual skills and capabilities you can grow very rapidly and your confidence will surge.

Confidence without capability is a perilous combination. It is necessary that you only engage in self-comparison when you are assessing your development. By doing this you will make it easier when the going gets rough and your proficiency will grow day-by-day.

Fears and Phobias Hypnotherapy Sessions

fears and phobias.png with kimberley stapleton mind body soul spirit

Use hypnotherapy to update your unconscious mind to overcome old anxieties

It's good to know that you can easily overcome fears and phobias with hypnotherapy, because such anxieties are extremely common. More than 10% of people will experience a simple phobia at some time in their lives. From elevators, spiders and birds, to heights, dentists and open spaces, there is nothing we can't develop anxiety or phobias about.

But you're not doomed to be stuck with them forever.

Happily, hypnotherapy provides an extremely effective cure for these problems as it provides the opposite of anxiety - deep relaxation. At the same time, it teaches the mind a different way of responding to the feared object or situation. Hypnotherapy for phobias works by detaching the stimulus (trigger object) from the emotional response (fear) and 'updating' the brain with a new, more realistic response.

Myths About Therapeutic Hypnosis

As we promised in the last post, I’m going to continue the list of myths that revolve around hypnosis.

I hope that by the end of this post I will be able to answer all the questions you might have about therapeutic hypnosis. If this does not happen, I kindly remind you that you can always send me a message with any questions :) You Can Always Contact me here >>>

1. There are people who believe that hypnosis can be dangerous!

Far from being dangerous, hypnosis brings extraordinary benefits mentally, emotionally and physically.

Think about everything that happens to your body during a hypnosis session. Your body is so deeply relaxed that you almost don't feel it, you lose connection with it. Your mind is relieved of stress, of unnecessary negative thoughts, and instead pays attention only to the positive suggestions it receives.

In this state you face a calm and total sense of peace, feeling that everything around you is perfect. You are in total control of your destiny, you are happy, confident and fulfilled.

How bad could this condition be for your health?

💜It is worth noting that in 1955 the British Medical Association approved hypnosis as a valid medical treatment.
💜Three years later, in 1958, the American Medical Association approved hypnosis as a valid therapy.

2.Another common fear of people is that you may not be able to get out of the hypnotic trance.

You can't stay stuck in hypnosis any longer than you could stay awake when you dream with your eyes wide open.

Hypnosis is a state of mind that occurs so naturally that you go in and out several times over the normal course of a day, whether you are aware of it or not.

Hypnosis can be viewed from two perspectives: as a state and as a process. The process can generate the state but at the same time the state can appear spontaneously, without that process.

If we think of hypnosis as a process, a hypnosis session involves a series of steps designed to bypass the conscious mind in order to establish communication with the subconscious mind. You can't get stuck in a hypnotic state, with no way out or with consequences on your natural state.

There are cases in which the client enters the state of hypnotic trance so deeply that he may want to prolong the experience. If the hypnotist fails to get the client out of hypnosis, he will return to full self-awareness spontaneously within minutes.
After such an experience, when you open your eyes you will feel completely awake, rested and feeling good.

3.The connection between hypnosis and religion?
Hypnosis is not associated with any of the world's religions. An ethical, professional hypnotist always respects the client's faith and will not try to improperly influence his or her religious beliefs.

Finally, I want to emphasize that hypnosis therapy cannot cause physical or psychological problems. It is 100% natural, and no more dangerous to the brain than sleeping or daydreaming.

It's such a good state of mind that the known genius Albert Einstein used it every day. Therefore, those who claim it to be unsafe or dangerous are only uneducated in the field.

Astonishing Power Of Positive Thinking

What Living In The Moment Really Means And How It Can Contribute To Your Happiness

Living in the moment is easier than done. You could be physically present now, but your mind is elsewhere. It’s gone back to reminisce about the past. Or, it could be daydreaming about what the future holds. That’s not living in the moment.

If you want to live in the moment, you need to make a conscious effort to do so. It’s so easy to let your mind slip away. One minute you’re doing something really important on your computer, and the next you’re jetting off into the sunset, or you’re remembering what the beach felt like underneath your feet.

When something finally jolts you back into reality, maybe your phone rang or someone gave you a nudge, then you realise you’ve lost track of time. Life slipped by unnoticed while you were mentally away. Think about it – how can you be happy if you can’t even recall what happened a few minutes ago?

When we get hung up on the past, or when we’re too excited for the future, we lose the ability to feel happy in the present.

Setting goals for the future is important, but don’t ever underestimate the journey you need to take to get there. Sure, you may think you’ll finally be happy when you achieve your goal, but why wait until you get there? What happens if you don’t get there at all? Then you likely won’t ever be happy. You’ll end up bitter, and you’ll end up an unhappy person.

If you enjoy your journey, and you let yourself live in the present while working towards your goals, then you’ll be much happier.

You can practice mindfulness by observing what’s going on around you. Observe your surroundings right at this very moment. Think about what you see, hear, touch, smell, or feel. Use all your senses to truly live in the moment.

Once that moment’s gone, it’s gone forever. There’s no turning back the clock to relive that moment. No one’s invented a time machine yet, and it doesn’t look anyone ever will.

Focusing on the moment lets you see what really matters. The past doesn’t matter anymore, the future won’t matter until becomes the present. Being connected to the present will contribute greatly to your happiness, so make sure you don’t let it pass you by!

How to Believe in Yourself more

Self confidence.png with kimberley stapleton mind body soul spirit

Lack of self confidence and low self esteem can be crippling and debilitating.  They can stop a person from socialising, hinder progress at work and within relationships and generally erode a person’s enjoyment of a full and wonderful life.

People with a lack of self confidence or low self esteem are usually acutely aware of their errors and chide themselves for ‘doing it wrong’. They take things extremely personally and struggle with personal criticism because it feeds directly into their negative belief system. To make themselves feel better they often resort to putting others down in order to feel better and literally cannot help themselves.

Usually lack of self confidence and low self esteem are established at a young age as a result of actions or words by a parent, sibling or carer, intentionally or unintentionally.  As the young mind develops negative beliefs such as ‘not being good enough’ or ‘worthy’ are so firmly planted that the negative cycle pattern simply continues.

By using hypnotherapy and coaching the negative belief system is challenged and re-wired. It’s like taking off a pair of dirty glasses you have worn for years and replacing them with a fresh pair that are crystal clear. Confidence is key in everything you do.  Let me help you to truly believe in yourself and that you can be confident at all times.

Why to use hypnotherapy would build your trust in who you are and what you can do.

As you relax and listen in your session, you'll notice that

  • your expectations of yourself begin to rise

  • you feel very curious to discover what you can do

  • you are less concerned about mistakes and more interested in what you can learn

  • you sense a growing feeling of power and capability within you

  • you trust yourself implicitly to learn more and become increasingly skillful in whatever you give your full attention to

  • life starts to be so much more enjoyable

Most People Refuse to Acknowledge Their Anxieties

Most People Refuse to Acknowledge Their Anxieties

Hey, let's face it, we all like to put up a face around people we care about or respect. At the very least, we have some sort of public face that we try to maintain.

What is this public face? Well, we want people to think that we're strong. We want to give people the impression that we have our acts together. We don't want them to see our weaknesses.

We really are often embarrassed by a public display of shortcomings or other features that we think will make us look bad. This is why we put up with appearances.

We know, deep down inside that, most of the time, we can't trust appearances. People who seem to have the perfect families, the perfect careers, or the perfect lives are actually going through a tough time. But, since we maintain this public face, most people are simply left with the surface impression that everything is going well.

Here's the thing. You can get so caught up in the public appearance that you're putting up that you end up playing seriously damaging games with yourself. One of the worst things that you can do is to be in denial about your anxieties.

Now, let's get one thing clear. Everybody's got anxieties. We all have fears about the past. We have regrets, guilt and other negative emotions about things that have happened in the past.

We also have issues about the future. Sure, these things have not yet happened, but despite that fact, we can't help but worry about them.

We would like to gain some measure of control over our lives. And sadly, too many of us try to do this by simply trying to worry ourselves into some semblance of control.

Well, just as we can't control what happened in the past, we can't control the things that have yet to happen. And that's why, unfortunately, a lot of people struggle with anxiety. It can easily get out of hand.

While it's almost normal to assume that a certain level of worry is fine, it's very easy to overstep our bounds. It's really hard to find that thin line between "healthy worries" and obsessive anxieties that wear us down and pollute our relationships.

Given this background, it is no surprise that a lot of people refuse to acknowledge their anxieties. As far as the world is concerned, they're living perfect lives or something close to it. That's the public appearance they want to give.

And before you know it, they start believing their own press. They start believing the image that they portray to the rest of the world and that's why they are terribly surprised when they figure out that they have these anxieties that are eating them from within. Are you one of these people?

Well, the good news is that there is a solution to anxiety that doesn't involve brain altering chemicals. There is an all-natural solution that doesn't involve expensive psychotherapy counselling. I am, of course, talking about changing your belief system.

The best part to all of this is that you yourself trigger the changes. By simply working with how you currently process reality, you can get out from under the crushing weight of anxiety.

How to Break Down Your Stress to Get Rid of It

Stress.png with kimberley stapleton mind body soul spirit

When most of us are stressed, it is for a reason. We are stressed for instance because of our work, because of a deadline or because of debt. Knowing what is causing the stress helps us to at least contextualise it and gives us hope that someday we might escape its clutches, but for many of us that is not enough.

But if you break that stress down further and if you really get to know it, then you might just find that it starts to come apart and that it becomes much more manageable.

Make Your Stress Smaller

The trick is to break down your stress into specific things – into manageable chunks that you can deal with – and then to deal with the constituent parts.

So let’s take a look at one of the biggest culprits: work. If your main stressor is work, then chances are that you can break this down further to identify precisely what it is about work that stresses you out. Here are some examples of aspects of our jobs that make us stressed:

·        Looming deadlines

·        Angry bosses

·        Unpleasant colleagues

·        Uncomfortable workspaces

·        Busy, long commutes

·        Things you would rather be doing

·        Wearing work clothes

·        Making calls

·        Speaking in public

·        Having too much to do

All these things can make us feel stressed about our jobs and most likely there are a number of these things playing on your mind.

But now you’ve broken it all down and you know the specifics, you should find it becomes much easier to start dealing with the problems individually.

So for instance: if you have a colleague you don’t like, you could ask to be moved to another part of the office. Likewise, if your workspace is uncomfortable, you could speak to HR about getting a new chair, or you could put a plant on your desk. Don’t like the long commute? How about looking into a lift share, or finding an alternative route. Workload too big? Then again, speak to someone and ask to have it shared!

Likewise, you might find that other ‘big’ stresses in your life can be made easier when you break them down into their smaller constituents. Stressed about debt? Then perhaps one aspect of that is not being able to afford things – in which case writing a budget could help. Another aspect could be worrying about your credit score, in which case you could talk to your bank manager or a debt advisor.

If this is something that affects you and would like to book a counselling or hypnotherapy session

How to Overcome Anticipatory Anxiety

Anticipatory Anxiety.png with kimberley stapleton mind body soul spirit

Calm down your worries about future events with Hypnotherapy

Is most of your worrying just anticipatory anxiety about the future, rather than concerns about what's actually going on now?

Do you get eaten up with dread about upcoming events and how they will turn out?

Your ability to imagine a goal in life, and to work out detailed plans to deal with obstacles, is a truly valuable resource. Deciding what you'll do if things go wrong is key to effective planning. It would be downright silly to assume everything will always go smoothly. Flights will be delayed, rain will fall on garden parties, people will forget what they were going to say, tomato sauce will get spilled over you...

It happens to everyone.

Too much thinking leads to anticipatory anxiety

The trouble is, when you spend too much time thinking too closely about everything that could go wrong, the famous mind-body connection goes into overdrive. Your worrying thoughts can trigger the actual physical emotions that would accompany those unfortunate events. Your heart rate rises, adrenaline floods into your bloodstream, and your body gets ready to face what it believes is a real and present danger.

When really it's all in your imagination.

Now obviously, it doesn't make sense to say you should just stop preparing for future events, and planning for negative eventualities, altogether. That would be likely to bring you some perfectly real (as opposed to imaginary!) difficulties.

What's needed is a way to think about eventualities (good or bad) calmly. A way to calm down any emotional response that gets triggered, so you can stay detached, make sensible plans, and then get on with your life.

And hypnosis is a brilliant way for you to do just that.

Hypnotherapy can help you calm down unnecessary fears

A Hypnotherapy session that will train your unconscious mind to instinctively calm down anxious thoughts about the future.

As you relax and listen , you'll notice that you

  • find yourself becoming much more relaxed about life in general

  • learn how to take command of your emotional responses

  • become more and more skilled at calming and quieting troubling thoughts

  • are no longer at the mercy of unpleasant emotions

  • can think much more clearly and effectively about helpful ways to prepare for upcoming events

  • enjoy life so much more.
