Steps for Letting Go of Fear and Trusting More

letting go.png

Don’t let fear stop you from achieving everything you want out of life. Everything that you do and the choices that you make each day determines who you are and the experiences you get from life. If you make these decisions out of fear, you will likely make poor decisions. The following seven steps will help you trust yourself more and stop letting fear take over your life:

Step 1: Start

Take a moment to make the commitment to let go of your fears and insecurities. Write your promise down for future reference. Once you do that, create a plan of action for yourself. Don’t expect yourself to just change when overwhelming moments arise. Instead, use your action plan to help you make changes.

Step 2: Forgive Yourself

As a living and breathing normal human, you are always going to make mistakes. In fact, if you don’t, you likely won’t grow or learn much as a person. Be prepared for these moments, and give yourself time to forgive yourself. Truly forgive yourself and know that this is only normal and a basic function in life.

Step 3: Learn to Love & Believe in Yourself

Actively do things to discover your likes and dislikes to learn who you are. The more you understand yourself, the more you can learn to love yourself and truly believe that you can accomplish anything.

Step 4: Listen More

Listen to yourself, but most importantly, to those around you. Make sure you are still taking the time to notice information people give and show you.

Step 5: Feel More Even Fear

In other words, go with the flow. Even when you are scared, if your life or health isn’t in jeopardy, it is essential to feel the emotions to overcome the fear. Getting beyond your comfort zone allows you to build and grow and understand yourself fully. You will see it isn’t so scary once you do it, too, and will eventually develop a full understanding of oneself and feel accomplished.

Step 6: Understand Your Feelings

If you find yourself holding back and feeling fear, truly figure out the parts that make you feel this way. If its meeting new people, what about that makes you scared. Is it because they won’t like you or judge you? What are the consequences, and isn’t all that big of a deal if you take the time to think about it? You just might see that ultimately the consequences are worth the risk.

Step 7: Only Control What You Know, Not the Unknown

Unfortunately, predicting the future isn’t possible. However, you can set up good habits or do things that lead you to success. While there is no sure-fire way to determine that everything you do will be right. One day, this may be challenged; however, that is the beauty of life. Stop wasting your time thinking about what may or may not happen. Focus on the now. You only have this very moment, so use it wisely.

If you keep following these seven steps and one day, you will see how much easier life can truly be just by simply letting go and trusting yourself.

Signs It's Time to Change Your Mindset

mindset.jpg

“The key to abundance is to stop needing more, and to start appreciating what you already have.” – Anonymous

Everyone is talking about changing your mindset to manifest what you desire. How do you know when it’s time to change your mindset? After all, you’ve been thinking the same way for as long as you can remember. Or maybe you’ve had rough patch and your attitude has gotten out of whack. When you start having more negative days than good ones, then it’s time to change your mindset. These are some of the reasons you may want to change your mindset.

Our mindset it what produces the thoughts we have. That is the attitude that shapes our thinking which controls our actions and how we feel about things. If you have a negative attitude, then your thoughts start blaming and thinking the worst. When you have positive or healthy thoughts, you create a better environment for yourself and those around you.

Six Signs it’s Time to Change Your Mindset

1. You’re always focused on failure instead of succeeding. You feel angry and disappointed over every failure without celebrating your success. You constantly see yourself as a failure, unconsciously sending negative messages to your mind that you will fail at what ever you try to accomplish. Instead: Keep a success diary acknowledging every success each day, no matter how small.

2. You have a victim mentality. You’ve been a victim of bad experiences or been hurt by others you love. Or you were traumatized from some event. You’re still holding onto those moments. Instead: Forgive and let go of the past.

3. You have social media envy. You see the unnatural glamorous lifestyles of other people online, and it makes you feel worse about yourself. You devalue what you have. You focus on what you don’t have or aren’t doing. Instead: Think about what you do have and be show gratitude for it. There are billions of people on this planet and at least a billion would love to have your life.

4. You see work as a chore. You dread going to work, complain about doing the work, or feel like it’s a burden. Instead, view your job as a means of providing value to others and as having an impact on you and others around you. Being able to work gives you the opportunity to contribute to society.

5. You obsess about things you can’t control or change. You complain about what you can’t control like the weather, government, traffic and other people. Your mind is filled with everything you don’t like, rather than what you can control which is yourself. Identify how you can change and control your own actions and thoughts to make the experience more positive. Stop complaining and start taking actions that will bring you a greater sense of accomplishment and abundance.

6. You lack gratitude for what you have. You focus on what is wrong with things or the world, or the inadequacies in yourself and others. Instead, acknowledge that no one is perfect, and everyone learns lessons as they go. Focus on identifying the positive things you are grateful for every day.

When you realize that the reason you rarely feel happy and content is because of a negative mindset, you know it’s time to change your mindset to feel better about yourself and attract more abundance into your life.

Reduce Everyday Stress with Hypnotherapy

everydaystress.png

Create islands of calm in your day with a gentle, permissive Hypnotherapy session

Are you wondering why you feel stressed or anxious when there doesn't seem to be any major reason for it?

Do you find yourself getting tense, sleeping badly, and feeling irritable a lot of the time, even though outwardly things appear to be okay?

When we look at other people, it often seems that things are going pretty smoothly for them. Maybe other people have said this about you - commented on the 'good life' that you seem to have.

And maybe it's even true that, overall, things are more or less okay, or even very good. So it feels very unfair - and a bit of mystery - if you find that you are constantly stressed.

If you could find a real 'cause' to pin it on, you might feel better about it. If there was a big personal problem, like a bereavement, or a divorce, or trouble at work, the sort of thing that everyone agrees is stressful.

But if you feel you 'really have nothing to complain about', you begin to wonder what on earth is going on.

The truth about the stress of ordinary life

The truth is, stress isn't all about the big stuff. Stress is a spectrum, not an on/off switch. At any time, a range of different pressures may be affecting your life, and all to a different degree.

If they are at the lower end of the spectrum, but there are a lot of them, the cumulative effect can be as great as if a single one of the 'big beasts' is rampaging about in your life.

This is why everyday stress levels can build up without you noticing. It's just a little bit here, a little bit there - but it all wears away at you.

And it deserves to be taken as seriously as you would take major stress. That is, you need to look after yourself - no matter how good your life looks on the outside.

If You feel a Hypnotherapy session could maybe help you to

feel much calmer and more relaxed generally

  • you sleep better

  • your mood improves and you feel more cheerful and optimistic

  • you are more resilient and can handle things better

  • you are enjoying life more

Overcome Fear and Anxiety

anxiety.png

Hypnotherapy can stop worry and apprehension wrecking your life

Do you often feel fearful and anxious even when you know there's nothing to worry about?

Are your thoughts and emotions controlling you, rather than the other way round?

Feeling worried and frightened is extremely unpleasant

Your heart pounds. Your chest feels too tight. Your guts seem to be tied in knots. You break out in a sweat.

You desperately want to run away - but where to? You might feel sick. You can't think straight. You're sure something awful is going to happen.

What is fear for?

This wouldn't be so bad if you really were about to be run over by a bus or eaten by a rampaging lion. Because then you wouldn't be thinking at all.

You'd be jumping aside, or swarming up a tree as fast as you could go. And you'd be so happy to come out alive that you'd hardly notice the sweat, or the knots. This, after all, is what fear is for. It's to galvanize you into instant, immediate, instinctive, life saving action.

If you are really in danger, fear and anxiety are completely appropriate - and useful! - responses.

Why you can feel afraid when you're perfectly safe

But the chances are that you are having these feelings and thoughts somewhere perfectly safe and secure. You are not about to die. You are not about to be attacked. You are likely surrounded by ordinary folk going about their ordinary lives, just like you.

Sure, some of them may be awkward characters, or may even actively dislike you, but dealing with difficult people is an ordinary part of ordinary life.

So how come you always feel so excessively worried and fearful about stuff?

When fear becomes a habit, growing out of control

Well, you may be surprised to learn this, but, like all human responses, feeling afraid and uneasy can become a habit. There may have been times in the past when you've had genuine reasons to feel frightened about what might happen to you, but somehow this feeling has become generalised to lots of situations where it doesn't belong.

And because fear feeds on itself, growing ever bigger by focusing on how bad things could get, it can end up taking over your life, imprisoning you in an iron cage of worry.

Hypnotherapy can break the fear habit for good

Feel like a great weight has lifted from your shoulders

  • Find you are noticeably more relaxed about life in general

  • Are surprisingly quick to learn - and use - the vital emotional control technique at the heart of this session

  • Start using emotional control in more and more different situations

  • Feel much more in command of yourself

  • Enjoy life so much more!

Stop Feeling You're Bad

feeling-bad.jpg

Develop a warmer, fairer, more objective view of yourself

Do you sometimes think that, underneath it all, you're a bad person?

Do you believe that, if other people were to see the core of who you are, they would dislike or even hate you for what you've done, thought, or felt?

It's easy to let these feelings affect your self-worth.

Have you ever wondered why you feel this way, or when it started? You may not be able to pinpoint when your sense of self-worth plummeted. It may seem like you've always felt this way. But these feelings are not an intrinsic part of who you are, and they can be overcome.

Low self-worth is almost always learned

If you feel that you’re a bad person, it’s likely because you have been taught to feel that way, though even people who grew up without pressure to conform or excel can develop this kind of thinking if they grew up around someone who was self-critical. It’s an easy habit to pick up!

At some point in your life, you may have been treated in such a way that you came to believe that the value of your life depends on whether you meet certain standards, or look or behave a certain way.

If you grew up with sky-high expectations or without unconditional love, it’s no surprise you feel this way. You’ve essentially been taught that unless you accomplish certain things — high test scores, a prestigious career, perfect behaviour — you are not worthy of love and praise. As the chronic feelings of failure mount, they may translate to a sense that, deep down, you’re simply bad.

But here’s the thing.

No one can live up to unrealistic expectations

The truth is, even the most accomplished people have flaws. The most honourable people you can think of, every role model, every tremendously accomplished individual — they’re all imperfect. Everyone has moments in their lives when they’ve failed to meet their own standards, or society’s expectations of model behaviour.

Even people who seemingly have everything experience the same negative emotions that you do at times. Everyone feels jealousy. Everyone experiences regret. Everyone has felt twinges of doubt. It’s part of being human. It’s baked into the experience.

But when you’ve been treated like you don’t have value and are not worth caring about, these perceived “failures” are magnified. You start to believe you deserve to be treated this way. And the longer you believe it, the more it comes to “make sense.” You focus on your flaws, taking these as irrefutable evidence of your intrinsic “badness.” Reality takes a back seat as you become more and more convinced.

Hypnotherapy can help to;

realise that your worth as a person is not tied to your accomplishments

  • develop a much fairer and more accurate view of yourself

  • accept yourself just as you are

  • feel more relaxed and confident in general.

How to Live in the Moment

live-moment.jpg

Update your unconscious patterns to focus on what's happening right now

Do you know how to live in the moment?

Does it feel like a long time since you last stood still and lost yourself in a beautiful sunset, or watching kids play in the park?

Is your life too full of worries for you to 'justify' such pointless activities? Do you bow to the cultural mantra that says if you're not doing something useful you're useless?

The real meaning of living in the moment

'Living in the moment' is an expression we've all heard, but what does it mean, exactly? You may think of it as something that 'enlightened' people do, Zen Buddhists and hermits, for instance. Not ordinary people, who have to get on with the nitty-gritty and earn their daily bread and make a success of their lives.

When you live in the moment, you allow yourself to experience life directly. You notice what is in front of you, right now. You see the colours. You hear the sounds. You smell the scents - or stinks! Your senses are open to the world without value judgement. When you live in the moment, the question 'Will this get me a promotion?' suddenly stops being so important.

It is your right to be able live in the moment

The fact is, we have all experienced what it is to live in the moment. Because we have all been young children, lost in wonder at the amazing world around us, utterly unconcerned with what we are going to get out of it.

And this ability to see the world with fresh eyes is a resource which we lose at our peril. If we allow ourselves to become trapped in routine ideas and routine behaviours, we lose flexibility and adaptability. And we risk becoming exhausted and burnt out.

You can recover your power to live in the moment

Hypnotherapy For Motivation – Getting The Drive Back!

motivation.jpg

Motivation is the key to positivity in our lives. If we were not motivated enough, we would just not have the will in us to go about our daily lives.

Its motivation that helps us get through the most mundane things – motivation for working harder, motivation to have a healthy relationship, motivation to earn more, motivation to have a happy family. And yet sometimes we find ourselves lacking in motivation; I think we have all had days when getting out of bed to get ready to go to work seemed like a Herculean task. Sometimes lack of motivation can really bring people down, and hinder their efficiency and ability. This may lead to frustrations and further breakdown of communication between people. However, if you intercept this lack of motivation timely, you have help at hand. Go for hypnotherapy for motivation to get the zest in life back.

Hypnotherapy is intrinsically related to the concept of motivation, and can help you in every walk of life. From motivation in sports, to business; from quitting smoking to losing weight, hypnotherapy for motivation could help you out. But here’s the catch: you can think of successfully motivating yourself only once you have your goals identified. Identification of a goal is very necessary before you start motivating yourself. Motivation is all about helping you realize your true potential, sometimes this potential gets thwarted by certain experiences in our lives. Hypnotherapy for motivation works towards removing those mental blockages by connecting with your subconscious.

Hypnotherapy is based on the formula of auto suggestion, and it works on deeper levels than one can imagine. Hypnotherapy for motivation converses with your subconscious mind, and urges it to alter self-perception and self – image. Unknown to us, our subconscious is largely responsible for the way we think and react; if we train it to think on a different line, no doubt the accompanying behaviour would change too. It understands the true potential that lies within us, and taps into it. Through gentle affirmations such as “I can do it”, it retrains your mind into believing that nothing is impossible.

I have helped clients deal with a variety of issues through hypnotherapy for motivation. Some wanted to perform better at work, while others needed motivation to keep a relationship going. Some wanted to perform better at sports, while others at studies. The underlying theory of hypnotherapy is based on motivation, and we need it in every walk of life. However, we need to have our goals clear in our minds for the hypnotherapy to be successful. Hypnotherapy for motivation lets you focus on the particular task at hand, however if the task is undefined, hypnotherapy will be rendered ineffective.

Hypnotherapy for motivation can seem to be too simple a solution for these problems; however you will be surprised at their effectiveness. Once you started this journey of self discovery, you will see the changes in a short time. Through altering self-perception and self-image, hypnotherapy gives you a whole new view of the world. From being a procrastinating person, you can go on to become a self starter. So define your goals now, and dive into the vast sea of your subconscious mind through hypnotherapy. The pearls you will find there will take care of every situation and possibility in life. Happy Self Discovery!

Overcome Rejection Sensitivity

rejection-sensitivity.jpg

Become more confident and discover better ways to connect with others

Do you find yourself on high alert for even the smallest sign of rejection when talking with others?

Do you have a tendency to anxiously replay conversations in your head, wondering what exactly someone meant?

Everyone wants to feel accepted and welcomed. It's human nature. We are social animals, and relationships are important to us. They help us understand the world and ourselves. So it's no wonder feeling rejected hurts so badly.

No one likes to feel rejected. But for some people, this very natural response is dialed up.

Being sensitive to rejection can make you feel anxious and lead to unpleasant overthinking. You may feel as though you are constantly on the lookout for signs that someone dislikes you. You may convince yourself that any negative or non-enthusiastic part of a conversation was caused by you. You might even feel that your friends or family members are slow to reply to your text messages because they are mad at you.

The niggling thoughts that plague you keep on coming even when you know they're not real. You may know on a logical level that your friend didn't reply because they are busy at work, that your brother is in a grumpy mood because he didn't sleep well, or that a co-worker is always negative. But you just can't stop yourself from feeling like it's personal.

But as deeply ingrained as these responses and feelings may seem, there is hope.

Living with rejection sensitivity

For many people, rejection sensitivity starts at a young age. Perhaps you didn't feel supported. Maybe you felt a particularly harsh rejection that stuck with you. Or maybe you didn't grow up in an environment that gave you self-confidence. Whatever the origins of your sensitivity to rejection, the effects can be significant and debilitating.

Excessive sensitivity to rejection can often stop you from building meaningful relationships, as you may end up pushing people away before they get too close in an effort to protect yourself. And if you are constantly seeking reassurance from friends or family members, it can also take its toll on the close relationships you do have.

You may even end up deciding that having close friendships is simply not worth it. Rather than face the anxiety of inviting someone to a movie or restaurant, or even just to your home for a cup of tea, you may decide it's easier to do things alone.

But of course, in the long term this kind of approach is not sustainable. A lack of close relationships can lead to intense loneliness and sadness. Ultimately, it all adds up to a less healthy, fulfilling, and enjoyable life.

How Hypnotherapy can help

As you relax and listen , you'll notice that you:

  • Feel more at ease with yourself

  • Can stop over analysing people's words

  • Are more easy going in your relationships, and enjoy them more

  • Are better able to relax and give new friendships time to develop.

How to Moderate Your Drinking

moderate-drinking.jpg

Use hypnotherapy to stop drinking too much

Do you often find yourself drinking more than you are happy with?

Is it hard to resist the idea of "just one more"?

Millions of people never touch a drop of alcohol and don't think anything of it. 'Drink' is just not part of their lives. And, of course, none of us were born drinkers (of anything but mother's milk, that is).

We may like a drop, as the Brits say, but there is no hard and fast, unbreakable rule that says you have to drink in order to have a good life, or in order to be happy, or even in order to not be unhappy.

So how annoying, frustrating and oh so painfully disappointing it is when you find yourself - not again! - coming home from an outing with friends knowing you've drunk far too much. And much more than you really wanted to.

You probably even said to yourself beforehand, "I'm going to have two beers, and then I'm switching to soft drinks." Or, "I'll have three glasses, max, and that's it." And you really meant it.

What happened? Where did it go wrong?

How excessive drinking gets a hold on you

Well, you can stop beating yourself up about it. It wasn't something specific that you did.

You drink too much because you get so focused on the present moment (and extending it) that you lose awareness of the future - with its consequences. It's a kind of 'negative trance'. There is only now... and now... and now... And you only remember tomorrow when it arrives.

Now here's the good news.

You can overcome the 'negative trance' with an even more powerful 'positive trance' that will keep the perspective of your life in sharp focus for you.

How Hypnotherapy can help you establish healthy drinking patterns

How to establish a beneficial positive trance around controlled drinking. It works at the subconscious level to make alcohol increasingly less important to you and to enhance your ability to take the long view.

As you relax and listen , you'll notice that:

  • Alcohol is just less and less important to you

  • Meals, conversations, party occasions and other events seem so much more vivid and enjoyable

  • You are often surprised to see that your glass is untouched

  • You have regular 'days off' and thoroughly enjoy them

  • You enjoy having a greater sense of self control and achievement.
